Vacation
Bible School
The first full week in August is set aside for summer fun and learning.
Children age 4 thru 8th grade are invited to join us for Bible stories,
crafts, and songs. In the past, our “Amazing Praise Band” Vacation
Bible School was a success. The children learned about the instruments
of the Bible and what it takes to be in a successful marching band.
They learned of the hardships, the need for practice, the enjoyment
of working together, and finally the joy of that big parade. The theme
was based on Psalm 92:1 “It is good to praise the Lord and make
music to His name.” 63 children learned more about our Savior
Jesus.
Another year the children were Gone Fishing all week
long. They started by going Down by the River: Fishing for Love with
the story of baby Moses. Then they learned about a Remarkable Catch:
Fishing for Help, the story of Jonah and the big fish. Next they were
Hooked on God: Fishing for God's Word in the story of young Samuel.
The week was filled with lessons like these presented in fun and memorable
was for these thirsty, young souls! The Gone Fishing adventure
included making all kinds of fish and fishing gear: tackle boxes, Footprints
seashell projects, Jesus Fishing bracelets and fishing theme bird feeders!
Fifty-five children attended in 2002!
We can't wait for the 2008 Vacation Bible School! Join
us August 4 - 8 from 8:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Please register
online here or call (920) 693-8612 to register your child.
