Christian Education for Kids
The Bible says children are precious in God's sight. That's why we
offer these exciting opportunities for our children.
Sunday School
Parents,
here's a chance for your children to have fun and make new friends
while they learn valuable lessons about what's right and wrong.
On Sunday morning from 8:30 -9:50 a.m., we offer Sunday School for
children ages 4-grade 8. Our church uses a new, up-to-date curriculum-
Christ-Light®. We also teach Bible songs and activities to reinforce
the stories and apply them to kids' lives.
Vacation
Bible School
The first full week in August is set aside for summer fun and learning.
Children age 4 thru 8th grade are invited to join us for Bible stories,
crafts, and songs. Join us for a morning of Bible stories, songs, crafts, snacks and friends!
In the past our “Amazing Praise Band”
Vacation Bible School was a success. The children learned about the
instruments of the Bible and what it takes to be in a successful marching
band. They learned of the hardships, the need for practice, the enjoyment
of working together, and finally the joy of that big parade. The theme
was based on Psalm 92:1 “It is good to praise the Lord and make
music to His name.” 63 children learned more about our Savior
Jesus.
Another year the children were Gone Fishing all
week long. They started by going Down by the River: Fishing for Love
with the story of baby Moses. Then they learned about a Remarkable
Catch: Fishing for Help, the story of Jonah and the big fish. Next
they were Hooked on God: Fishing for God's Word in the story of young
Samuel. The week was filled with lessons like these presented in fun
and memorable was for these thirsty, young souls! The Gone Fishing
adventure included making all kinds of fish and fishing gear: tackle
boxes, Footprints seashell projects, Jesus Fishing bracelets
and fishing theme bird feeders! Fifty-five children attended in 2002!

Early Childhood Ministry
Strong Roots for Tender Shoots is the name of our cradle roll program
for families with children from birth to age 4. The purpose is to
nurture families with God’s Word through parenting materials
and children’s books. Our goal is to encourage parents to train
their children and nourish the faith they received through Baptism.
It gives parents age-appropriate tools to carry out this privilege
and responsibility of the spiritual training of God’s gift of
children. Our cradle roll team members are Cheryl Barrett, Tina Jaeger,
and Dawn Zastrow.
Tuition Reimbursement
One of the blessings of our church is a strong Christian school system.
Your child's daily spiritual development is important. Why not send
your child to one of our Christian schools? All of our members are
eligible to receive 50% tuition reimbursement for our WELS Lutheran
elementary schools and 20% for Manitowoc Lutheran High School. If
you're interested, speak to our pastor.
Help your child’s
faith grow!
