Ark Encounter Trip

Due to lack of interest, we have cancelled the trip to the Ark Encounter for this year.  

 

Join us for a weekend trip to northeast Kentucky to explore the Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum with bonus stops at the Shrine of Christ’s Passion and at Findlay Market in Cincinatti.

Cost: 

There are three parts to the expense, which you will select on page 3 of the registration form.

  1. The bus/trip fee:  $225 per person.
  2. Ark/Creations Museum tickets: Depends on age. Includes buffet lunch on Saturday.
    1. Adults: $109
    2. Seniors (60+): $97
    3. Youths (11-17): $74
    4. Children (under 11): $10
  3. Two-night hotel stay:  The hotel price set at $250 for a double queen, $220 for a single queen.
    1. We are in the process of arranging a new hotel, so this is an estimate and subject to change.

Itinerary (subject to change):

  • Friday:
    • 10:00 am         Depart St. John-St. Peter Lutheran Church, Cleveland
    • 1:30-4:30 pm
      • Shrine of Christ’s Passion, John, Indiana
      • Enjoy sack lunch at the shrine, or go to Culver’s to eat, then visit shrine.
        The Shrine is free (donations welcome).
        Riding tours available for $7.
    • 4:30 pm          Depart Shrine
      • Fast food stop for supper
    • 9:15 pm (*time change)         Arrive at Hotel (TBD)
  • Saturday:
    • 6:30-9:30         Continental Breakfast at hotel
    • 9:30 am           Depart Hotel
    • 10:00 am – 6:00 pm    Visit Ark Encounter
      • Buffet Lunch included
    • 6:00 pm           Depart Ark Encounter, return to hotel
      (still working on plan for supper, possible pizza party at hotel)
  • Sunday:
    • 6:30-10:00       Continental Breakfast at hotel
    • 10:15 am         Depart Hotel
    • 10:45-12:30     Findlay Market in Cincinnati
    • 12:30 pm         Depart Findlay Market, travel to Creation Museum
    • 1:00-5:00         Creation Museum
    • 5:00 pm           Depart museum, travelling home
      • Jimmy John subs on the bus to eat on the drive home
    • 11:15 pm (*time change)
    • Arrive St. John-St. Peter, Cleveland

You will be responsible for lunch (either bring a sack lunch or fast food) and supper on Friday.

You may also want to purchase a snack on Sunday mid-afternoon (either at Findlay market or at the Creation Museum), as we don’t have a meal planned between breakfast at the hotel and sub sandwiches on the ride home at 5 pm.
